Ground hog families have been nibbling all sorts of garden goodies this week.  Our parsnip planting was chomped to the ground, the outer leaves of the latest parsley planting have become the choice herbs of these rodents, and one full planting of head lettuce has had a buzz cut.  We have had much better success trapping them this week and I have confidence the parsley and lettuce will bounce back.  Bill has been a huge help in keeping these hungry friends at bay.  Yellow jackets moved into the dye shed and I had to remove their nest before they got too cozy.
