Update from the Gardens

Cultivation! Planting! We are getting some opportunities here and we are taking them as they come.  We were able to plant our Broccoli/ Cabbage/ Brussels/ Cauliflower seedings and direct seed another round of green beans, shelling beans, carrots, and beets.  It was a mad dash to do it all before the end of the day on Saturday, but we got it all in before the skies opened up and gave us a classic summer thunderstorm.  After that I have seen the first squash blossom, the first ripe cherry tomato, the first garlic scape emerging, and the first eggplants forming.  It looks like the summer foods will soon arrive.
