Update From the Gardens
As we enter into September, garden activity is converging into a bountiful celebration. We are picking green beans off of our second planting of beans that are slender and tender and a good chunk of them have become dilly beans and frozen beans for the winter. The tomato harvest is heavy and steady. The broccoli heads are opening, the cabbage is forming dense heads, and the peppers are coloring up. We seeded all our autumn/winter greens in the high tunnel green house including spinach, lettuce, kale, asian greens, mustard, hakurei turnips, collard greens, mache, and carrots.
