Update From the Gardens

Over 2 inches of rain in one day!  The ground is fully saturated and and heat has arrived.  Add the full moon and everything in the gardens is exploding with growth! The peas had to hold on to the trellis for dear life while all the hard rain was falling on them, but now they are bursting with fruit.  The garlic is sending up scapes like mad now and the onion plants are standing tall.  We have removed the row cover from our summer and winter squash to discover beautiful plants with tiny baby fruit.  I saw my first green bean blossoms one evening as I was waiting for the chickens to return to their coup for the night. The tree frogs were screaming in joyous celebration from all the trees around the farm!
