One morning I was scything down the thistle in a corner of the pasture our calves are on right now, and I saw some feathers. I put down the scythe and had a closer look. What I thought was a dead chicken was a nesting hen. I saw she had multiple eggs under her and I put the scythe away for the day. A week later, Harbor spotted broken eggs and we are proud to say that she has hatched out 6 baby chicks!
